Just One Great Trade

Just One Great Trade (you gotta say it slow), is a mantra in my trading career that I have turned into a philosophy. It represents exactly what it states. When making trades, they should be executed with the intent, that if you were to place only one trade in your career,  it should be a GREAT one.
Placing great trades is simply the following of a process. How well one can follow this process determines how great a trade really is.  When certain analysis leads to a trade that produces a windfall, and the same analysis turns another into a loser, is the latter trade a bad trade? Of course not. As long as the process for following the analysis produces great results, then the only trades that would be considered bad, are the ones that weren’t executed following the analysis.
Trading ultimately boils down to a game of probability and statistics. Some trades make money and some trades don’t. But at as long as your style of trading contains an edge, and you follow the rules and steps that harness that edge, then be rest assured, Just One Great Trade is right around the corner.
